Thats not the point we need atleast 42 squadrons but we currently have 31 squadrons. Tejas mk1a is goid for point defense but for long range missions its not that good. We are just trying to maintain squadrons strength till Tejas mk-2 go into to mass production. And deal still not signed yet price still matfers.

@@iimcrandomgamer711 I think I did pointed out the same thing in other comment section but as you see the production rate of Tejas is actually quite slow .

@@VikramSinghNegi502 Well currently we have production facilities to manufacture Tejas at 26 to 32(at max capacity) jets per year but its also depends on numbers of order. Also currently USA can only provide us 20 F404 engeins per years. Possibility of increase in production. Currently we have plannes to Manufacture 16-18 jets at starting yeaes and then increase to the 26 jets per years. Also every 40th jet their going to be major upgrades in its and possibly Tejes mk-1b.

Because we just want to maintain bare minimum capabilities of our airforce to be functional as of now we have 31 squadron of fighter jet which is far below the recommended 42 squadron mark , we just want to extend the life of our old Jaguar and mirage 2000 as the production of our indigenous Tejas fighter is quite slow and we don't want to buy any new fighter as we are currently focusing on our AMCA 5th gen fighter project and Tejas mk 2 multi role which should be operational with significant number by 2035 and 2028 respectively,till then we are in quite dire condition and have to manage some how .

You're so stupid! First of all, China will not sell any weapons, just like the United States will not sell F22. Second, Pakistan doesn't buy everything because small countries have limited defense budgets. Are you naive to think that Pakistan can print money to buy weapons like the US? How would a military balance create more wars? Loll if Armenia was strong enough in 2020 then Azerbaijan wouldn’t have attacked. It’s the imbalance that created conflict. Are you playing stupid? The tracked vehicle needs more fuel and is not as fast. And with the newer generations of amunition mobility coupled with the ability to shoot and scoot is more important than utmost off-road capability and defensive armaments. So a wheeled system makes perfect sense.

The main reason for wheeled vehicles is actually that they can move over long distances without too much maintenance. If Russia Was to attack the baltic states, being able to move troops fast would be the most important thing

@@fuzer4047 more mobile AND self-loading capability, as it has its two cranes for loading and unloading missile pods, the HIMARS requires a separate loading vehicle.
